The part that opens the door ain't long enough to actually open the door it looks good on there just not usable and I tried everything from adjusting the arm to be as long as possible and I'm a certified mechanic ASE certified

This part fits the rear passenger door of the 2000 Mazda MPV DX, ES, and LX 6 Cyl 2.5L. You mentioned the left passenger door, is that a right-hand drive vehicle? This is only for the left-hand drive vehicle to which the passenger is on the right side.
