Not like OEM fitment is poor quality is cheap.Front, Driver Side Exterior Door Handle, Primed, With Key Hole, With Remote Locking, Base Model

Theses handles are cheap flimsy plastic and barely fit. I had a modifying mine to make them fit in the door I would not recommend them I don’t believe they will last very long the OEM ones Are made of aluminum not plastic but are way more expensive. You definitely get what you pay for when you buy these.

This part is made out of plastic rather than die cast metal as the original but it is many times less expensive than an OEM part and works just as well. It may not last as long but for a 22 year old car, that is probably not an issue. It comes primed and ready for paint which took a day to apply two coats of color and one clear.

Question: 1997 BMW 528i: Bought elsewhere, guaranteed to fit like yours, but clips on the bottom of the back side are too thick and the mechanic said it doesn't fit. Yours looks the same on the back, so how do I get it to fit with the clips being different?John C. / Jun 09, 2021

My car is a 1998 BMW 538i and I had no problem installing it so I am afraid I can't answer your question. My car was built in March of 1997 and I understand there were some running changes later that year but I am not aware of what may be different for a 1997 model built before then.
