Hi Julie, I'm glad to assist you. This can be installed by a novice or an experienced auto mechanic. The first to do is unscrew the interior door handle. Push slide the door handle backward to remove it from its slot. Remove the windows switch carefully using a rubber spatula to lift the base of the switch from the door panel. Remove the socket of the window main control switch. Then, carefully pry off or lift the edges of the side of the door panel to unclip the grommets that hold the door panel to the door shell. Remove the door panel after loosening up the grommet clips. Then, unseal the upper half of the plastic protector on the door shell. You will not have access to the back of the door handle. Use a rachet tool to loosen up the 10 or 8mm bolt that holds the exterior door handle. unclip the rods on the door handle. Then replace with the new one installing the same door lock cylinder as well. Install everything in reverse as you have remove those other parts initially. Most replacement door handles with keyholes do not come with a new lock cylinder or keys included, so the existing lock cylinder and key will remain compatible.
