If you already have lamps in your bumper this is the best option to replace them. If you need to reconstruct your bumper assembly, go with an option that includes the mounting bracket. If the bumper is in good shape and you just need new lights, this is your best option. These have been on my truck for 1.5 years and I always keep them on at night with the headlamps. Very good product!

Mounting bracket is the black housing surrounding the fog light. Once you put the fog light in, you'll here two separate snaps. Meaning the mounting bracket has secured the fog light in the rear. So if you're only replacing the fog light because of a cracked lense, then yes you'll only need the fog light alone without the bracket.

If you are replacing an existing fog light, then you won't need the bracket. If your truck doesn't have fog lights and you're adding them, then you'll want to get the ones with brackets.
