I had never used carparts.com I always used the other guy. But this time the other guys didn't sell this part so I chose to get it from carparts.com. part came in when it was supposed to. Part was correct. Installed correctly 1st time. I feel comfortable using them again in the future!

Good product, great price. But for this particular situation you'd almost be better off getting a whole nother fuel pump because the fuel filter for the 01' Corolla is located inside the fuel pump housing.

Answered by Grace G. / Tue, Apr 26Yes its in the tank attached to the fuel pump assembly. Recomend you also get a new strainer as well when you replace it, and possibly a new pump as well. There is qn access panel under the back seat to remove the pump so you dont have to drop the tank. Took me 45 minutes from start to finish to replace it with basic hand tools.

Answered by Robert H. / Tue, Apr 26Yes, it is easiest to access from inside the car. Remove the rear seat, and there should be an access panel held on by several 10mm nuts. Also consider purchasing a new strainer when replacing this fuel filter.
