Question: Do full leak much in a 2011 Silverado 1500?Anonymous S. / Nov 20, 2020
Hi Wayne,
We need more information about your question. Sometimes, when the mechanical fuel pump leaks oil from a silicone gasket, the cause can often be traced back to improperly tightened pump mounting bolts.

Answered by Joseph R. / Fri, Nov 20Question: Can you still drive with a bad fuel pump ?Underdog / Oct 16, 2020
Hi,
A weak fuel pump may still pump fuel, but the vehicle may experience difficulty starting from the lack of pressure. The fuel pump can cause the vehicle to take more cranks to start than normal, and in more serious cases may even cause the vehicle to require multiple turns of the key before it will start, and cause damage to other parts of the engine.
