Hi Albert,
The fuel pump is installed on the fuel tank top portion. You have to drain first the tank and remove the fuel. Then go about the procedure of replacing the fuel pump assembly. Please refer to a trusted vehicle specific repair manual for step by step install procedure or seek the help of a certified automotive technician.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Sat, Feb 13Unfortunately, it is located inside the tank. Specifically, it on the top of the tank. It sits in a hole, whereby the fuel sending unit and float are immersed in the fuel. You must drop the tank to gain access to it. If the tank is fuel of fuel, you will need to transfer all that fuel into another fuel-, approved container first. Another thing worth mentioning: do not, DO NOT perform any work on the fuel tank with flamee or spark nearby. Always disconnect the battery before this, as well!!!
You'll find videos on YouTube to help. That's what I did. It's a ton of work and only recommended for advanced or intermediate mechanics. Hope this helps. Be safe!

Answered by Andrew B. / Wed, Feb 23All the fuel pumps are plastic and go in a metal tank. They look cheap but that's how they look. Works great and hooks up easy. And I would cut a hole under the rear seat behind driver and make a hatch and u can remove fuel pump with out dropping tank.
