You can use the new pressure sensor on the new pump and keep the old pump in safe and clean storage for times of emergency.

Answered by MICHAEL / Thu, Mar 11Question: Purchased a fuel pump and when installed my gas gauge wouldn’t work but the car started right up purchased another fuel pump complete with sending unit and it did the same thing as before. Non working gas gauge. It’s a mystery to me why my gauge won’t work. I hate the thoughts of buying a third pump. Any answers or thought are very welcome?
