The part needed was a fuel pump that attaches over the fuel tank with access from the trunk. The part was a perfect fit and did the job. We were 1100 miles from home and ordered overnight delivery. The part arrived at 3 PM the next day which allowed us to install and hit the road before sunset. Even with the overnight delivery charge of $50 the price was substantially better than the local shops who did not have the part in stock but had to special order. Thank you <a href="http://carparts.com" target="_blank">carparts.com</a> for coming through in our hour of need.

Hi Laura, thank you for reaching out. The filter/strainer is already assembled with this pump. You do not normally replace the relay along with the fuel pump. Hi Manic Mike,
The VIN is an alphanumeric code and you cannot tell the manufacturing month and year simply by looking at it. The production/manufacture date can be found on the driver's side door jam, sometimes on the seat belt area.
