Question: Someof these pumps have an extra wire harness coming out of the top even if the vehicle doesn't need it. What is that for?Har / Nov 09, 2024

Often, the additional harness is dedicated to the fuel level sensor, which reads the fuel level inside the tank and relays this information to the fuel gauge on the dashboard. The extra wiring harness may simply be a ground wire, ensuring proper electrical grounding for the fuel pump assembly. But, this one has no extra wiring harness. This pump is guaranteed to fit the 2001 to 2002 Kia Magentis 2.4L/2.5L, 2001-2002 Kia Optima 2.4L, and 2001 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L.
