The filter and pump ar both a part of the assembly. If you want to understand how they are connected there is a great youtube video on it, just look up replacing 08 impreza fuel filter. Youre going to want to buy the pump and filter assembly as it is soo much easier to replace.

The filter is inside the pump, change the old pump for a new one and you have replaced the filter too.

Question: Do I need a pressure sensor?Leland S. / May 02, 2025
Hi Leland, Glad to assist you. No, if this is the only part your mechanic recommends. The fuel pressure sensor is separate from the fuel pump assembly (please consult your trusted mechanic for that). If your car appears in the vehicle fitment information (after selecting the year, make, model, submodel, and engine size), it is guaranteed to fit. Grab our lowest price and click the link below to buy it today.
