Question: Hello Staff:  (1) Wondering where the fuel filter on my '09 Suzuki SX4 (base model, 2 dr-hatch) is located?  Can the fuel filter servicing the fuel injectors be any place along the underbody or within the engine compartment? (I'm an amateur - but working to be informed in retirement to keep our budget under control and for the convenience and pride of "...doing the needed job right at home " ... with the help of CarParts.com.  (2) Apparently, it's uncommon to have the 'within the fuel tank or fuel pump module' get clogged?  (3) The fuel pump I bought recently from CarParts noted in its specs/features listing "no pressure sensor" feature (Drive Motive E8773M / 1510080840-'no pressure sensor') Is a fuel pressure sensor engineered elsewhere for the fuel injected 2.0?  Is the pressure sensor an independent piece of the fuel system or combined with the O.E.M 'under-the-body' filter?  (4) THANKS for any knowledge advice you may be able to share. This compact, selectable AWD is cleverly engineered and strongly built. It helps us manage 'mud season' (now!) in Vermont.        Al/PaulaAlbert K. / Mar 26, 2024
Hi Albert, thank you for reaching out. Since we don't have the exact information regarding the fuel filter of your 2009 Suzuki SX4, we suggest you refer to a vehicle-specific repair manual for answers to your first two questions. Your car uses a fuel pressure regulator instead of the fuel pressure sensor. The location of the fuel pressure regulator is near the fuel rail of your car. Thank you for shopping with us. Have a nice day.
