You will probably see that the seal ring will be too large. But may work. No matter where you buy the unit. The tab tightening ring is also a problem. Once it hits the saddles on where it is to stop, it loosens. Therefore leaks. Try a metal ring for a 1969 Ford Torino cobra. It worked for me. Don't ditch your original rubber seal. It can be cleaned. If you're carburated, seal off the return with hose and clamp. You'll have this problem no matter where you buy the unit.

Answered by Lester P. / Fri, Dec 16Yes that should be the one for you. I put the same one in my 1969 gtx but it did not fit my tank. I had to cut the pickup tube off to make it fit but it did not matter to me because my car hasa sump on the bottom of the tank.

Hello James I bought this last year. I believe it was 1/4 return and 3/8 feed. I did have some trouble getting this sender to seat properly against the tank because of the fuel pickup hitting the bottom of the tank. My old unit worked fine but I just couldn't get the new one in. Since my car has a sump welded into the bottom of the tank I just cut the pickup tube off. I really only needed the fuel gage which works fine.

I installed this unit in a 70 GTX and gauge worked correctly. I did not check ohms. Fuel lines are 3/8" and 1/4"
