The first cap that was shipped showed up in a sealed factory bag. Unfortunately, the cap was broken... hard to believe but true. Where <a href="http://carparts.com" target="_blank">carparts.com</a> shined was in their customer service. I called support and the rep was friendly and took the time to understand the issue. After a few minutes of hold time, he came back and told me that they would have a new cap shipped out immediately. And to top it off, I wasn't required to return the broken cap, saving me the trip to UPS etc.

Hello! As per checking, this is a non-vented gas cap. It does not fit screw-type locks.

The engine light may come on if the gas cap is not tightened properly. We highly recommend to have the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to pinpoint what made the light to stay on.
