does not need to have chrome center bar. would be nice if grille would come with retainer clips. having hard time finding new clips since I lost half of old clips when I hit a deer.

No you have buy that separate, unless your old one is detachable. Mine was not. They do sale a grille with a one piece black center.

It's made of black plastic. Fit my 98 Blazer perfectly however it doesn't come with the clips to attach it to the vehicle

As per checking, this item does not come with installation hardware. We suggest getting those locally through a local auto supply store or the dealership.

No it does not come with the retaining clips.You should try to salvage as many if not all of the original clips from your old grille or get some from a salvage yard.You can buy them at various auto parts retailers but you will find they don't fit as tightly as the originals.

Yes and its pretty easy to replace these, grill and all. I would recommend buying the steel retain clips also that hold the grill on if replacing. Just a heads-up.
