Bought both drivers side and passengers side headlights because price was right. 2 weeks after install, drivers side low beam went out. Had to take to mechanics and found wiring harness was completely dead. Returned under warrenty. When working on drivers side replacement, see that moisture is now invading passenger side assembly. Have been in my vehicle for less than 2 months. Will never buy again. Learned my lesson and will have to buy from Mazda when next replacement is due. Guessing that will be shortly.

Hi George, I'm glad to assist you. These headlights are not the adaptive type which automatically moves up and down when the car hits a big pot hole or passes a road hump. The motor inside moves the focus beam up or down according to the position of the vehicle. It react to the speed, steering radius, and level of the surface, then automatically adjust to what the driver is doing and the road conditions ahead. Sorry, we do not carry the adaptive type of headlights. Still, you might be needing other parts such as bumper cover or mirrors. The halogen headlights do not have motors in the assemblies The headlight assembly with the motors in them are the zenon lights!

Hi Elmer, This driver side headlight is halogen and does not require a ballast, only HID headlights have a ballast.
