Hi Bob,
Yes, this item comes with the halogen bulbs and ready for connection to the main harness. This headlight does not require any ballast, unlike the H.I.D type. This part is for models using halogen type headlights only.

Yes, I also had HID on mine and there was no issue replacing the bulb into the new housing. I will say that the alignment for the lighting was not align correctly and when trying to adjust it correctly they did not move. I strongly recommend buying them from another merchant. As I conctacted customer service and did not get a response back to get the defective product replace.

Hi, I'm not sure how the HID bulbs hook up but if they have the same mount you can remove the new bulb mounts and put in the HID mounts.

These are stock replacements for those with Halogen bulbs. You have to see what your car has. I ended up just buying 2 and replacing them both. Same electrical hook up just different bulb housings.
