Hi Ric, I'm glad to help you out. Yes. You can change the halogen bulbs of this item. You need the H7 LED bulb to swap out the halogen bulbs. We suggest that you get the LED bulbs from the local auto parts store. Take advantage of the sale price for this item. My husband has me confused & I don’t fully understand what he is actually asking me?
It says plug and play?
Personally, I take that as “ OBVIOUSLY there is wires, Bc its “plug and play” ??

Your factory plug will directly connect to these light no additional wiring needed

Tracy,
The headlight assy itself has the wiring inside and your factory harness plug will plug into the headlamp. The only thing I noticed different with these headlights is the style of connection with the low beam H7 bulbs. The VW oem lights have a special twist and lock connector for the low beam H7 bulbs and these headlights have connectors that just push on to the blade terminals on the back of the H7 low beam bulbs just like the high beam H7 bulbs. My opinion was that these headlights were very good quality for the price. Hopefully that helps! -Mike

Hello when I brought mines I took it to my nearest mechanic shop, which they installed for me. I would say it does but then again the car should have wires for the replacements if it makes sense!. My mechanic didn’t mention anything about me needing wires. But overall if needed buy it they are bright and beautiful.

It is ready to.connect to.the car wiring harness. So you just plug car wires into it. No need to Retire anything....maybe that is your answer

Do you mean the headlights on the vehicle are HID? Just as it is, the answer is, no, it will not plug and play. Yes, but you will need an HID Conversion Kit. Without the conversion kit, it will not work.
