Question: Hello, I have a 2017 Elantra SE, we recently bought a new set of aftermarket headlights to replace the originals, they fit and worked just fine, but due to a differentiation in voltage/amperage, they caused the exterior light fault light to illuminate on the dash. We are looking at this set and need 100 percent confirmation that these are as close to OEM’s that y’all have and they will not cause this error light to illuminate before we purchase?Jake G. / Mar 31, 2024

Hi William, I'm pleased to assist you. Most modern headlights are made from strong polycarbonate plastics that are scratch resistant and are coated with UV protection to resist fade and yellowing. BPA molecules will, however, begin to leak off the surface when exposed to high levels of oxidation and sunlight. Applying UV protectors or headlight protective films, which are available at nearby car stores, over the lenses is advised. Replacing your headlights will give you better visibility and improve your overall safety, as well as the appearance of your ride.
