I don't like how they sell things like "Clamps" separately, for a Hood Release-issue ! I bought the Cable a year ago, but my Mechanic still can't make the repair because the "Clamps" were NOT included !

Question: Hello Jeonino ... My Mechanic still says that I need the "Clamps" that hook this Cable somewhere under the Hood in order to release the Handle from inside the Car ... the Handle is not allowing the Cable to be released because it's broke ! ... I currently have an extra Tool under my Hood that keeps the Cable together as a continuous unit that actually releases the Hood. Are these "Clamps" generic ? Hi Barbara, I'm glad to assist you. Upon checking, and based on the hood cable application, we do not carry any bracket/clamp for this hood cable. You might need to check locally or at used car parts stores online.
