Functional but low quality vs OEM originalHood Latch

The item assembled easily on my 2010 hyundai sonata gls and was well lubricated, however, I did need to reuse the Z shaped center mounting bracket from my old latch. The one that came with the product did not reach the mounting hole. My other observation was the spring force on manual safety latch was quite a bit lighter than the original OEM latch so if it ever corroded or got dirty and bound up, this latch may have problems.

Question: I appreciated the response from the previous reviewer ... I need the 2-section Hood Latch Cables for my issue; my Hood Release from inside the Car would not engage; since then I 'clipped-a-Deer' & now have a dent that could possibly be pulled, but now I need the hood release fixed from inside the Car ... any help on how to get the Cables that run along the the Hood (from under the Hood) to the Hood Release from inside the Car ?Barbara W. / Aug 31, 2021
