Hood latch fixed my truck alarm from going off randomly. Apparently the sensor that is in the hood latch going bad is a common thing. Replacing it was pretty straightforward and it works just like the OEM one.

Was the Right Part that I needed to Fix the Anti-Theft Switch indicating that the hood was open all the time! If the switch goes bad again I'll just put a resistor in the wire harness instead of replacing the entire hood latch.

The alarm on my work truck started going off at 2am. I immediately came outside and pulled the fuse for the horn. In subsequent days it was chiming endlessly about the hood being open. I installed this hood latch and it hasn't been a problem since.

I’m wanting to buy a quality made aftermarket 1st., & 2nd. stage Hood Latch for my; 2015 Chevrolet Silverado ExtCab, 2500 HD LT, V8, 6.0L Flex Fuel with remote start. When I looked up the The GM genuine part Number listed on the manufacturers website Parts store GM Part # 85574822 it shows that is the part number for my truck.
