Question: my 2018 Honda crv hood latch will not open the hood. Unable to get to the engine parts. what is the best way to release this latch?SHIRLEY C. / Sep 25, 2022
Hi Shirley, thank you for reaching out. If your Honda CRV hood won't open, you can typically force it open by pressing and holding down on the hood near the latch while someone else pulls and holds the hood release lever. Then, the person holding the hood down can pull up on the hood to open it. Make sure to lubricate the mechanism using a penetrating lubricant such as WD40. Another option is to have a certified mechanic check the vehicle.
