Question: I need the replacement for the component that connects to hood, not the one that connects to the car. Does this connect to the hood?M H. / Mar 20, 2021
Hi Hasan,
This is the hood latch mechanism which is attached to the upper radiator support in the center to lock the hood in place. The hood striker is the fixed hook underneath on the center portion of the hood which locks to the hood latch locking mechanism when you close the hood.
