Hi Matt, I'm glad to assist you. The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) was created by automobile insurance companies to oversee a test program guaranteeing the suitability and consistent quality of aftermarket automotive parts, meeting or exceeding the OEM quality. However, for the non-CAPA, it doesn't necessarily mean lower quality. The parts are just as good and the same, (factory OEM specifications) but the manufacturer chooses not to pursue CAPA certification in order to cut costs. The hood is currently out of stock now.
