Hi Tracy, I'm pleased to assist you. Though your engine will run okay, it will not run as well as it should, with a bad IAT Sensor. The engine computer cannot process all the needed information properly. There would be engine stalling, rough idling, engine stumbling, and random surges of power are commonly associated with IAT sensor failure. These are concerning symptoms, and they can only worsen with time. It is best to replace the part early on to not affect any other parts.
