Answered by Jeonino E. / Sat, Aug 07Yes, if the control is failing, it will make the engine Rev and depress up and down with your foot on the petal. It can just shut down midstream on the highway. That is a good first check. They say you can clean them, but that didn't work, change it, it's inexpensive!

I got 2 new ICV'S and neither of them fixed the problem, they actually made it worse than the old one. Could the replacement parts have been bad or could it be something else wrong? Answered by Grace G. / Tue, Feb 01Looking at your engine, on the intake to the right of the idle selonoid you put on is an ? Anyway it has about a 1 1/2 or 2 in tin round cover on top,held on with a couple of screws remove the cover and tighten the thing under it by turning it, it sorta reminded me of a float , it’s round and turn it to the right nd take the sloop out of it.. put the lid, cover back on and that should do it. Also look on iTunes, that’s were I found it to fix mine with same
