Code P0505 is an indication the IAC (Idle Air Control) is not working correctly and it can cause the engine to idle too low or high and the engine may stall when coming to a stop. You missed mentioning the year of the vehicle for me to check the fitment. This idle control valve was manufactured by the Replacement brand. This is our company's affordable in-house brand. Our products are sourced globally from only OES (Original Equipment Suppliers) that comply with QS 9000 / ISO 9000 / ISO 14000-1 / TS16949 standards. A majority of these suppliers are located in Taiwan.

Answered by Grace G. / Fri, Feb 19The package had no identifying country of origin printed on it and neither did the actual part. I installed it on the truck and the truck runs fine. I would assume that it was not made in the US because of the price. Sorry I couldn't have been more helpful.

Answered by Robert H. / Fri, Feb 19I don't know where the product was manufactured but I can assure you that the fit and function are perfect. It fixed the high idle in my 2002 tacoma 3.4 v6. It has been running perfectly since the aic was replaced.
