As per checking, this is a guaranteed fit for your 2006 Ford Explorer, all submodels, 6 Cyl 4.0L. Your SUV has the the idle air control (iac) valve and located on the throttle body of fuel-injected engines, where it works with the vehicle's ecu to electrically regulate airflow to the engine to ensure smooth idling.
