Replace Both?? If your replacing just your plugs just replace the spark plugs. With that said, If your car has a100,000 miles or more on both, I say replacing both. Plugs & coil packs. 100,000 miles on a coil I say replace while you’ve got them out.

Question: I have a 2018 ford explorer XLT 4 cylinder, my question is, does ford require a specific brand of coils? I had a tune up done by a mobile mechanic, and the ones he used didn’t work. He had to put the originals back in for the vehicle to be able to operate. We later found out from someone seals, if you don’t use the brand of the original coils, it won’t work.Angelo K. / Mar 05, 2024
