Question: how do you program the transponder key to the car, once the new cylinder is installed?Todd J. / Oct 06, 2020
Hi Todd, Programming this key requires 1 working master (generally black OEM) key(s). If you do not have 1, you will need to have the key programmed at a locksmith or dealership. The actual procedure takes a few seconds to complete and many dealerships will do it for free as a courtesy. If your dealer does charge a fee, local locksmiths usually charge much less to remain competitive. Aside from repair manuals, there are videos online posted by owners that can help guide you if you want to do it yourself.
