Aftermarket ICM... <3Ignition Module - Direct Fit, Sold Individually
5.0/5
As anyone with an old sc300/400 knows, these cars absolutely HATE any electronics that aren't OEM. That being said, this aftermarket ICM works like a freaking dream.

Answered by Johan K. / Sun, Jan 17Question: My 1995 Lexus LS400 will crank then when I turn it off it won't crank. Bought new battery it still crank sometimes then sometimes it won't. Did a code check got p1600 ecm batt malfunction...replaced positive battery cable end. Also report said replace service interval light...
Could this part (ignition module) be the reason it's not starting once I turn it off...and try to turn it back on...???Barbara P. / Feb 18, 2023
Hi Barbara, I'm pleased to assist you. The Ignition Module controls the firing of the ignition coil/s so it can create the voltage the spark plugs need to ignite the air/fuel mixture in the engine cylinder. Since you already replaced the battery and cable, there could be other reasons why the crank is failing. Could be the alternator, crankshaft position sensor, connector corrosion, defective starter, or ECM lost stored parameters. We suggest consulting a certified mechanic for real-time diagnosis to determine what needs replacement. Check your grounds first. Take them off, wire brush the connections and try to see if it solved the problem.
