These finally wore out a year ago on my car and I've had to brace the hood with a piece of a 2×2 that my dad cut to fit. I still always worried it would slip and the hood would fall on me or someone else working on my car. These went on so easily and work perfectly and I'm thrilled that the hood stays up in place again with no brace! It's the little things sometimes...
