Way heavier duty than stock. No more truck lid falling in my head. Because they are bigger on the connection ends they were a little harder to get clipped in by no special tools were required

I bought a set from another vendor six months ago and they never worked. I bought these expecting some marginal improvements but with an expectation that my kids still wouldn't be able to open my trunk. I'm pleased to say that I was very wrong and that these shocks work extremely well. They allow a 4, 6, and 8 year old to lift open the truck with ease. Closing it is another story, it does take some force to close but the trunk will hold its position partially open and it's so much better. Even my wife said it works, and she admitted it was the one thing she couldn't stand on the car. Happy wife.

Ordering was easy, delivery time was good and the correct ones arrived this time and and work just like the new car trunk.

No, this part will only work with 2001-2006 Lexus LS430. We do not carry trunk lid lift support for 2005 Lexus SC430.

Hi Sharon,
This strut, lift support for the trunk makes your lifting easy and not much effort to raise it high. If the strut is defective already, the trunk would be hard to lift since the lift support is bad already.

The trunk kept hitting me in the back of my head if the wind blew When I’m placing items in the trunk . These replacements did the job! Now, if anything it makes the truck harder to close but better than it not staying up
