Russ--yes they fit and work perfectly. I propped the hood open while replacing, but it was just a simple matter of removing the old bolts and struts, and reinstalling. I have have had to twist the supports just a little to get them into the correct position, but that can be done easily by hand. Very simple and satisfied.

My hood is light, is on a Lexus GS 350 and actually it helps push the hood up went is getting open. I recommend the item.

Don’t know the weight they support but I put them on a 2006 gx300 hood which is a decent size hood and they work great

Hi, We do not have the measurement readily available. But we can assure you this hood lift support is a guaranteed fit for 2006 to 20011 Lexus GS300/GS350/GS430/GS450H/GS460, base 6 cylinder sedan. If your vehicle is covered as noted above(vehicle fitment), this will fit 100%.

The fatter side is not the extended side. The thinner side is the one that extends. The fatter side goes at the bottom. The thinner side goes to the top.

Though I did not measure the part length it fits properly. And remember they are collapsed for shipment. Before installation you need to twist it until it opens. Installation id very simple by lifting the retaining clips into the open position and once in place push it back in. Done.
