Along with 2 other purchasers, the clips failed on the first closing of the trunk, and my attempt to salvage the struts using the removed MBZ clip failed because the connector did not match. A waste of $30.
I never followed up with CarParts, but hopefully my added experience to the others will warn off a purchaser of this roulette-wheel bad bet.

The parts was cheep made
Both clips on the shocks were broken
Both end up in the garbage

Question: I have to report that I purchased these in October for S430 trunk and unfortunately the clip-on system - the least expensive parts to the assembly - snapped off near immediately. On the other hand, the set of engine hood struts worked perfectly. Why use a cheap part on an otherwise well made strut?A Shopper / Dec 30, 2020
