Answered by Andrew B. / Wed, Jul 24Question: 2013 VW Jetta passenger mirror: I just received, Car Parts Part # "VW64GR" - The 2 electrical connections (in the back) are in different locations than the VW OEM part. The OEM (2) connections are top right placement, left and right. Those positions are empty on your part # VW64GR. Your part has the 2 electrical connections directly below and one is on top of the other, please see the photo of the backside of your part on its specific carparts webpage. Which of your connections corresponds with the left and right of the OEM part?Peter K. / Aug 26, 2023
Hi Peter, I'm glad to assist you. In a direct current (DC) circuit with a 12V voltage source, the positive and negative terminals can be interchanged without affecting the operation of most components. It is not possible with the AC current setup. If the wires of the terminals are long enough, it is okay to plug them in. I hope this helps!
