Mirror has the exact look of one of the many different variations of the OE mirror. Unfortunately, this new one is the most basic mirrors, with manual tilt adjust and the only electrical wire inside is for an ambient temp sensor which is mounted with the tip sticking out of the plastic case on the bottom of mirror assembly. My original temp sensor was hidden inside my mirror, so now it's just floating around inside because it's shaped and wired different and couldn't be swapped. This new mirror assembly doesn't even have mirror defrost glass, but to be fair this is how the mirror is accurately advertised. The only reason I bought it was because my original mirror got hit with a piece of flying tire rubber that got kicked up by another car, and the whole backside of my passenger side mirror broke off. GMC or any aftermarket sheet does not sell just the lower backside plastic casing, only the top plastic cap. So I purchased this basic mirror and carefully disassembled it and only replaced the outer casing & cap of my damaged mirror and it fit like a glove! Be warned it takes patience and it's tricky but with You Tube video guidance it fit. My ambient temp sensor sadly is floating around touching the hot plastic casing of the mirror and it adds an extra 5 degrees or so to my outside temperature being displayed on my dashboard. I wish they would make the variation I need for my truck, but it saved me $325 when all I needed was the plastic casing.
