2012 civic lx. Fits just fine. Bolt pattern matches, plugs in. Controls and motor works. I put it on my silver honda civic, mirror is black, I was gonna paint it but I like the black look.

This is light textured finish and does not require to be painted. I suggest to get a smooth finish or paintable one instead.

Most likely. It's black molded plastic, so if you have the right paint, it should be OK. My car was silver, but fortunately my mirror caps were black.
