Question: Hi, do I need to use a primer when painting this mirror, or is it already primed? My model of Kia is the Optima SLX Turbo which requires 3 paint layers. Can I just use a base coat, mid-coat, then finally a clear coat? Thanks in advance!Ryan H. / Jun 22, 2022
Hello! I would go with the recommendation of the paint supplier. They may want to see the mirror to determine the surface finish and what prep may be required.

Hello, the part was a shiny black which happened to be the same color as my car . So if you need to paint yours matching your car color, priming may not be necessary. I hope this information helps.
