This part was exactly as advertised and more. It was solid and sturdy and when fastened to my van (much easier than I had anticipated) it was like a brick that nothing was going to remove! I'm very pleased!!

From body to edge, it's 12.5 inches (may not be exact to 1/8th of an inch...) Be aware that this unit does not hook up with the electrical connection so you have to move it manually. I didn't want to pay the price for that on an old car. Plus it was cheaper to install.

Hi Antonio,
Unfortunately, that won't be possible. The only parts of the mirror that can be painted or changed into chrome are the caps of the housing.

No it comes in black plastic. But if you get good with spray cans you could get a chrome look before putting it on the car.
