I love these mirrors. Relatively easy install (although in my case the mirrors came with a round electrical connector whereas my 2002 F-250 had rectangular connectors, so I did have to do some splicing with butt connectors to make it work). A huge upgrade over the standard non-tow mirrors originally on my truck.

Answered by Anthony S. / Mon, Mar 07The tubes just slide out by pulling on them, or slide back in by pushing. The tubes have some kind of friction inside so they do not ever slide in or out by themselves. Same with the folding. An indent keeps them in the driving position with no accidental movement or collapsing from wind, but with a push they arms pivit and fold back against the widow for parking or entering a narrow garage door opening.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Fri, Dec 10Mirrors are adjustable. The tube only measures 2” all the way in and 5” all the way out. If you push mirror all the way in it measures 14-1/2” from window to outer edge of mirror clearance. If you pull mirror all the way out it measures 17-1/2” from window to outer edge of mirror clearance. Very nice mirrors.
