Easy to install. Though my model is actually made in Japan and I wasn't able to keep my speakers plugged in because the harness is different. But the mirrors look great!!!

I got one of these (driver's side; Mazda Protege 5) and the swap out wasn't bad-- I found a video on YouTube that walks you through it and shows you all the hidden screws that you need to remove to take the inside door panel off. The problem is that the mirror is not a perfect match to the old one-- it's about a half inch shorter. That means that I cannot get enough upward tilt after adjusting it (and taking everything apart again to try to adjust it again via any play between the bolts on the mirror and the holes on the door where it attaches) to see anything buy my rear tire and just a little bit of road beyond that. I am going to try to shim it up at the joint where the mirror swivels, and hopefully that will help, but something is just a little bit off and it basically makes the mirror nearly useless when installed.
