Question: How does the blind spot detection work with this side mirror and are there any YouTube videos on the installation of the side mirror or look of it?

Hi Aidan, I'm glad to assist you. Unfortunately, these are not equipped with the blind spot detection feature. But yes, there are videos online available for the installation of these mirrors. I hope this helps and happy shopping.
