This was my first shopping experience at JC Whitney. I'm not the sharpest pencil in the classroom when it comes to ordering anything on line so I called there toll free number and they put me on the right track and helped me with ordering the mirror that I needed. Now about the mirror: This JC Whitney mirror looks exactly like the OEM mirror. Mirror comes painted black, textured and says objects in the mirror are closer than they appear, just like your original. Electrical connector on the JC Whitney mirror will plug in exactly to your vehicles harness. Not sure how to install it? Check out you tube,got good tips there,tips that were good to know, that's how I learned. Very easy to do. Now I know how to do it for the next time wifie knocks it off the door. Mirror came quickly, undamaged and took about 30 or so minutes to install. You can't go wrong with this mirror. Great first time shopping experience shopping at JC Whitney.

the passenger side is fitting ok , but the drive side has have a gap about 1/16 '' open on the-end of edge of mounting more like the plastic mounting doesn't fit tight , mirror housing and the mounting is rocking too, when I 'm driving I can see the whole mirror is vibrated . compared to the old [original ] one , the old one is fit tight and steady .

Question: My 2003 Subaru Outback is also identified as a Subaru Legacy (this was the time when Subaru started calling the Outback a separate model of its own). The passenger side mirror for the Legacy has the warning printed on it about objects being closer than they appear, and my car insurer insisted on calling it a Legacy when I bought it. So even though it's an Outback, am I correct is thinking that the Legacy mirror is the correct side mirror choice, rather than the Outback mirror?James W. / Jul 28, 2023

The VIN would be much helpful. Please check the features/functions of your mirror on the vehicle's owner's manual to be accurate.
