Perfect fit and the black shell matches the original. The actual mirror is very thin and vibrates/wiggles while driving. It is the mirror flexing.

Needed to replace the driver side mirror on my 2012 RAV4. I wasn’t sure which one would fit so I called customer service. Hi Danny, I'm glad to help you out. This item has a textured black finish. You can paint the mirror cap. However, it's a bit more expensive to paint a textured surface than a smooth surface. This part is guaranteed to fit the 2009 Toyota RAV4 Limited All Engines North America Built Vehicle. Yes, you can. But, it would be better to just use the new assembly than just take a piece to be installed in the old mirror. If the job is not done properly, there could be a risk of water from rain or car wash or other contaminants enter the mirror assembly.
