Hi, Look at the first digit of the VIN, if it's a 1,4, or 5, then it indicates that the car was built in the U.S., a 2 means it was built in Canada, J means Japan.

The most frequently seen letters in the United States are J, K, L, S, W, and Z. If the vehicle was made in Japan, the first character of the VIN number will be a J; if the vehicle was made in Korea – K; made in China – L; made in England – S; made in Germany – W; made in Italy - Z Google has answers I just copied and pasted this. Make sure you google everything and go on the forums to find answers. The more you know the more you invest and better your self.

Look in the back side of the driver's door jamb at the factory sticker that shows the vehicle's paint color and trim package data. The bottom line will tell you where the car was built.

Question: Not sure which driver side mirror to order for my 2000 Toyota Camry XLE. V6. There's no power button for the mirrors, no puddle light or turn signal light on it. And it's not heated either. But there's a wire loom that goes to the middle of the mirror. Would that be auto dimming?Darren W. / Jun 20, 2024
