Question: Could you clarify “paintable.” Does this mean I have to get it painted? I’m looking to replace a black mirror which from the picture it looks to be black.David G. / Jun 10, 2022

Paintable means that the mirror can and is ready to be painted to a different color, a requirement for other vehicles that have the mirror with the same color of the body. This will come in black color as shown in the picture. There is no legal requirement to paint the mirror. Since your mirror is black, you can use it as it is or have it painted the same shade of black as the other mirror in your vehicle.
