It’s a good replacement! I was worried it would look awkward on my white Toyota to have a black mirror but it meshes perfectly! The part fits, was pretty simple to install, works as intended! I recommend, it really came in clutch.

Yes, you can take the back cover off. Pop the mirror off the white swivel plate first, and then unscrew three screws to detach the back cover plate.
