I looked at this part for weeks debating or not if I should buy this. I read the reviews and everyone seemed to say this was recommended. I finally broke down and bought this, and to my surprise I think it's better than the original exhaust. It was pretty easy to get on, I had to use penatrating oil to get the nuts off the exhaust clamps. It fits perfectly as well. The only thing I wish, is that carparts would show me my recommendations to buy after purchasing this part. Example would be like the exhaust clamps, exhaust insulators or the exhaust flange gasket.

Very quick shipment. Perfect fit for our 2012 Escape 4 cylinder. Only modification I made was to expand the front pipe so it fit over the pipe coming out of the catalytic converter rather than trying to weld them together. Just had to buy an exhaust clamp.. Very happy with purchase.

You're right, it's illegal to remove the catalytic converter in any state, including Maine, and the Davico 696233 muffler wouldn't be a direct replacement for your 2010 Ford Escape Limited because it doesn't include the catalytic converter.
